Day 1: Arrival to Mexico City - Tour Starts from Transfer from Mexico City Airport to the Hotel (30-40 min)

This incredible tour begins with your arrival in Mexico City, one of the largest and most imposing metropolises in the world. You will be greeted by our staff who will take you to your hotel so you can relax and unwind after a long trip.

Day 2: Mexico City Tour – Teotihuacan – National Museum of Anthropology

It will be a day full of emotions, culture, and history as you tour beautiful and interesting places in Mexico City. You will visit the impressive Archaeological Zone of Teotihuacán and its wonderful pyramids, which will surely leave you awestruck by their grandeur. The tour continues with a visit to the emblematic National Museum of Anthropology, one of the most important museums in Mexico and America, boasting at least 22 permanent exhibition rooms. The museum’s collection is made up of numerous archaeological and ethnographic pieces from all over Mexico, making it one of the largest museums on the continent.

 

Day 3: Mexico City – Puebla – Veracruz

From Mexico City, embark on an interesting journey to the beautiful city of Puebla, located in the central eastern part of Mexico and southwest of Mexico City. Puebla is known for its delicious gastronomy, colonial architecture, and ceramics, like the famous “Talavera” made locally. The journey continues to the city of Veracruz, located on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico. Veracruz is one of the oldest and largest ports in the country, founded in the 16th century by Spanish colonizers.

Day 4: Veracruz – Villahermosa – Palenque

From Veracruz, the trip continues to Villahermosa, in Southeast Mexico, home to the renowned La Venta Park-Museum, which houses important collections of pieces from the Olmec culture. The adventure continues until you reach the “Magic Town” of Palenque, one of the most remarkable cities of the Mayan world, and an incredible destination for those who love archaeology, history, and nature, all combined in one site.

Day 5: Palenque – Yaxchilan – Palenque

Today, you will visit the impressive Archaeological Zone of Palenque, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1987, and a very important location belonging to the Mayan culture. The tour also includes a visit to Yaxchilan, another significant ancient city of the Mayan Culture, located on the banks of the Usumacinta River, both in the state of Chiapas. Return to Palenque for the night.

Day 6: Palenque – Campeche

From Palenque, travel to the beautiful colonial city of Campeche, located on the Gulf of Mexico in the Yucatan Peninsula. Campeche is a walled city with colonial architecture, featuring the spectacular Fort San Miguel, where the Anthropology Museum of Campeche is located.

Day 7: Campeche – Uxmal – Merida

Depart from Campeche to Uxmal, another ancient Mayan city in the state of Yucatan, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1986. Uxmal is home to a very important Archaeological Zone representative of the Puuc culture. The day concludes in Merida, known as the Ciudad Blanca and the capital of Yucatan.

Day 8: Merida – Chichen Itza – Ek Balam – Cancun

This day features a visit to the Archaeological Zone of Chichen Itza, a very famous Mayan ruins complex with magnificent and enigmatic structures. The site includes the amazing Pyramid of Kukulkan, one of the 7 wonders of the modern world, also known as El Castillo, a huge stepped pyramid dominating the approximately 6.5 square kilometers of this ancient Mayan city. Other spectacular structures include the Ball Court and the Temple of Warriors. The tour continues with a visit to the also fascinating Archaeological Zone of Ek Balam, and concludes with your arrival in Cancun, known worldwide for its beautiful turquoise blue beaches.
